Chicago 

The Field Museum - SUE the T-Rex 

Jason and I spent some time in Chicago in October to visit our daughter.  Chicago is a beautiful city and we had the best tour guide in the world, Bridgette.  While we were there we visited the Apple Store - on opening day!  The Field Museum, a family favorite, and rode the tour bus - which we highly recommend riding the bus to each new city you go to!  

Great food, beautiful buildings and friendly people.  

We are pleased our daughter calls Chicago home!

This was our 17th year with SDMS and as always we enjoy our time with fellow sonographers.  The meeting was held at the Dallas Hyatt Regency Reunion Tower.  The exhibit hall was full and the attendees enjoyed seeing many new products and had some great snacks while there. 

Next year SDMS travels back to Orlando where the meeting was held in 2016.  

If you are a sonographer looking for a meeting to further your education - check into SMDS, we highly recommend it!

New York City

Brothers we met while strolling in NYC 

Jason and I went to New York City in early October for Jason to to work on-site for training on the ergometer.  While he worked I took advantage of the amazing weather and was a complete tourist all over the city.  During my time on the east side I ran into these two brothers and fell in love.  Our daughter has a Brussels Griffon named Stella, so when you get the chance to see another BG you stop and ask all about them - they will melt your heart!  I learned these guys have lived in 6 different countries and enjoy NYC the most!  

We look forward to more trips to NYC - they are doing incredible in healthcare in the city and state!

2017 SVU Annual Conference

Meaghan and Angela went to Orlando for the SVU meeting recently and had a great time meeting the attendees and spending time at Disney World!  HMP has attended the SVU meeting only 3 times, but every year it gets better and better.  The ladies showed the 2000 Series Vascular with 45 degree reverse Trendelenburg - always a hit when fellow sonographers see in person how this bed really does work FOR them!  While at the meeting they heard the horror stories of patients standing for the exam, locking their knees and passing out!  There was even a story of a sonographer being crushed by a large, fainting patient!!!!   If you are a vascular sonographer HMP highly recommends the SVU meeting for you!  Learn and be with fellow sonographers all while at a great location.

We went to Las Vegas July 6, 2017 for Jason to work on-site with our clients for training on the ergometer.  While there we went hiking in several different locations, Red Rock Canyon outside Las Vegas, Grand Canyon in Arizona and Bryce Canyon in Utah.  It was 120 degrees during our visit - that's crazy hot for hiking.  We love Las Vegas and the surrounding area,  If you live there and would like an on-site tutorial for the ergometer call us - preferably this winter!!!!

28th Annual ASE Scientific Sessions

Heritage Medical Products Inc. attended the ASE Annual Scientific Sessions in Baltimore, MD in June - this was our 17th year with ASE - well, we did that one show back in 1997 - but that's for another post!  This year we took the Ergometer which was met well with fellow sonographers and physicians.  In fact, the Ergometer has had much success since that debut.

Next year ASE will be held June 22 - 26, 2018 at the Gaylord Opryland 

Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, TN.    

Future dates include 2019 Portland and 2020 in Denver.
